Fitness Tip
The exercise you should perform is the one you enjoy doing, any aerobic activity which you can do 3-5 times a week at a moderate intensity for at least 20 continuous minutes will help you burn calories e.g. walking, running, swimming and cycling. If your goal is fat loss then try to achieve a maximal calorie burn, work out for as long as you feel comfortable with. As long as you are expending more calories than you are consuming on a regular and consistent basis, then the fat/weight will come off. Body conditioning/weight training should certainly be considered as the leaner muscle tissue you have the easier and quicker it is for your body to burn calories. Be patient, you will soon feel the benefits of exercise after only a few weeks, don’t become disheartened at the fact that you may have only lost a few pounds, or none at all.
Nutritional Tip
Avoid the obvious such as fried foods, burgers and other fatty meats ( i.e. pork, bacon, ham, salami, ribs and sausage.) Dairy products such as cheese, cottage cheese, milk and cream should be eaten in low fat versions. Nuts and sandwich meats, mayonnaise, margarine, butter and sauces should be eaten in limited amounts. Most are available in lower fat versions such as substitute butter, fat free cheeses and mayonnaise. Thought for the day :Lean, mean, fat burning machine ….. Then be One!!
