About Monks Health Club & Spa

Machynys Peninsula Golf & Country Club is situated on the site of a sixth century monastery, hence the name Monks.

Monks Health Club houses a 35-station gym with luxury spa facilities that include a spa pool, monsoon showers, a specialist aromatherapy room ,scented steam room, sauna and heated stone chairs, spray tan and beauty treatment rooms.

Regular fitness classes take place daily in our dance area on the first floor which are free to members.

Monks Health Club prides itself on personal one to one training with a friendly atmosphere. Our staff are there for you and we're not too big to care.

Spa Treatments

With meticulous attention to detail, the interior has been designed to the highest standard, featuring mosaic and naturally muted tones throughout, creating the perfect ambience for relaxation. Other than the specialised treatments available all the facilities listed below are free to health club members.

Chill Out

Designed with low lighting, the Chill Out Room is the ideal place to unwind before a treatment, or for continued relaxation afterwards with cool refreshments, calming music and a selection of magazines and newspapers.

Beauty Rooms

Six treatment and beauty rooms offer a wide selection of different treatments from the antient art of massage to the luxury Elemis wraps, all therapy rooms have heated hydraulic beds and under floor heating to compliment any treatment.

The Hydro Spa

For the ultimate in relaxations, why not take advantage of our luxurious spa pool, sauna or steam room and feel your aches and pains slowly fade away.

Aromatherapy Room

Our trained staff will happily guide you through the process of enjoying a soft steam treatment, complete with essential oils, selected according to your mood and guaranteed to leave you wanting more.

Heated Lounge Area

Relaxing on the heated stone chaise longues - with a specialist heating system, from your shoulders to your calves let your body temperature slowly adjust after emerging from the spa - the perfect way to end your Monks experience.
