Mark Reed
Mark has been a major part of the set up of Machynys Peninsula since October of 2004. He has a wealth
of experience not only in coaching but in golf operations in general. He formally held the position of
Golf Operations Manager at The De Vere Belfry and was involved with the organisation of 2002 European
Ryder Cup, four Benson & Hedges European Tour events and four PGA Seniors Championships.
Mark was also a key player in the creation of the PGA National Golf Academy at The Belfry. Having
listened to Mark's vision and desire to produce the best golfing facility in Wales, the Directors at
Machynys had no hesitation in appointing Mark Reed as General Manager of the first Nicklaus designed
course in Wales.
